Ultimate comfort for playing your guitar comes down to a perfect guitar setup. Everyone has their own style of playing so a setup based on “your” style is crucial for a comfortable and enjoyable playing experience.
$50 Guitar Setup
Includes:
- Truss Rod adjustment (neck relief)
- Bridge Height Adjustment (action “string height from fretboard”)
- Saddle Adjustment (intonation)
- Pickup Height Adjustment
- Fretboard cleaning and lemon oil protection
- Re-string & Tune (strings provided by customer)
- Tighten and Lubricate hardware
- Cleaning & Polish
- Test electronics
- High frets diagnosis which causes string buzz and choking
Guitar Extras
+ $30 = Polish guitar frets for that shinny finish (this is not releveling)
+ $20 = File nut for proper string movement and height
+ $30 = Fret edge dress (remove cheese grater feel on edge of frets)
+ $10 and up = Recrown Frets (price depends on number of frets to crown)
+ $160 = Full fret level and recrowning.
+ $360 = Full refret – unbound neck
+ $460 = Full refret – bound neck
Service Extras
+ $30 = Pickup and Delivery within Halifax / Dartmouth surrounding area
+ $30 = Pickup Strings for you (Standard sets $15 and under, strings such Elixir will be extra)
Some setups require additional work or repairs not included in a $50 setup and will need to be assessed and priced accordingly. Additional setup work can include, nut filing, nut / saddle replacement and releveling / recrowning / redressing individual frets, etc.
When a guitar is brought to me, I record all items included with the guitar (case, strings, picks etc). I also record and may take pictures of any dents, scratches or missing parts of the guitar and then signed off by the customer. This is to assure the customer that when the guitar is returned, its in the same or better condition.
